Clay is a seasoned expert in digital forensics and incident response, bringing over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. As the Chief Operating Officer at IronGate Cybersecurity, he leads the Digital Forensics and Incident Response teams, managing high-stakes cyber incidents for clients.
Prior to his role at Iron Gate, Clay was the Principal Director and Global Head of DFIR at Booz Allen Hamilton, following the acquisition of Tracepoint LLC, where he led U.S. DFIR operations. Clay has also held senior positions at Ankura Consulting and IBM X-Force, focusing on forensic analysis, incident response, and developing cybersecurity policies and training programs. Clay’s career began as a cybercrime detective with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. He pioneered the cybercrime division, and became a leading authority in high-tech investigations, digital forensics, and proactive law enforcement efforts there.
